photoblog image A very good morning

A very good morning

This is from our Scotland trip in August. We had camped at a camp site a few miles from Kyle of Lochalsh near the Eilean Donan Castle. The next morning was one of the most beautiful mornings I've ever seen. Its a blessing to wake up to the chirping of birds literally in the lap of nature - we camped by a lake covered by hills on all 3 sides. My luck with wildlife photos started with this bird - it gave me the time to fetch my camera, change the lense and take more than a couple of shots at various settings.

I wish the beauty and magic that nature provides stays for our future generations to savour.

That is one plump, well-fed bird, Thomas. You got yourself a beauty!
Thomas this is a beautiful shot! And I love the words - so true!
