photoblog image A long wait

A long wait

Saw this old man sitting on the road side near Munnar on my way to Periyar Wildlife reserve. He had this expression on his face for all the while I was there. Seemed to be waiting for someone since long. I didn't want to disturb his calm, so I didn't go near him for this shot. The way he sat there, probably enjoying the cool breeze, he seemed to have all the time in the world. And when I looked at myself, I was in a hurry to, even on a holiday. I might slow down when I'm his age :-)

Absolutely excellent, Thomas! It's perfect in mono and the DOF makes the pic even more powerful. Well done!

He looks totally at peace with himself doesn't he.

Superb picture too, it really is. Striking.

Did you take this in mono or did you change it afterwards?
