photoblog image The Langur

The Langur

What do I say about this guy? The way he enacted a Langur was nothing but perfect. The voice - nobody could make out if it was a real langur or a man. I have read about how men can call like langurs, tigers and other animals in the wild, but I never thought it could be achieved with such perfection. The way this guy jumped around and scratched himself - it was simply amazing to watch him.

HA! I hope he got paid for his impersonation!! Great capture, Thomas!
Thomas Mathew: He did Ginnie. The authorities thought it was one more way to keep the crowd interested. Thanx smile

Well photographed thomas and nice use of soft focus filter. All of this, with an interesting story, very pleasant. I think that what really makes the shot amusing is the watch and the ID card, one just knew straight away that this guy has official blessing for his performance in public. Many regards, Neil.
Thomas Mathew: You are right Neil - he sure has the official blessing grin Thanx for visiting smile

Mimicking the mimics - how ironic. I find his wristwatch incongruous though.

You've caught him very well. It was a good idea to apply some blur to the background too, to make the main subject stand out. I think you need to apply a bit more to the guy on the right in the tan trousers though, to help it along.
Thomas Mathew: True - the wrist watch and the ID card are a bit out of place, but I guess that is the human aspect of the mimick. Thanx for the inspiring words smile

I thought from the thumbnail that this was a wildlife picture.

This man looks as amazing as you describe, I can almost imagine him acting. There's 'something' about the way he's holding his hands that isn't quite human. Amazing.
Thomas Mathew: Yup - he was in the process of scratching himself just as a langur would do. Thanx Ellie smile
Very impressive shot (and very interresting too) Bravo smile
