An Indian Mela can't be complete without an Astrologer or a Sadhu (Godman). People come to the Godmen for advice on spiritual and worldly matters and to know their future and find solutions to their problems. The belief in Sadhus is so deep specially among the rural population that they live their lives by what the supposedly "Holy Men" say. Though the tangible difference a Sadhu makes to the sufferer's problems might be negligable, there is a deep psycological effect that the words of the Sadhus have on the Poor Man who is illiterate and unable to judge any logic or reason behind the spiritual words, thus being left with no other option but to abide by the Sadhu's words.
