I actually don't know what that instrument is called, please do let me know if any of you knows :-) Thank you for all the comments and my sincere apologies for being late in responding. Had a long weekend, back with the rest of the Mela series now.

This guy was the oldest in the troupe and he seemed to be enjoying himself thoroughly beating his brass plates to the rythm of the drum providing treble for the heavy bass created by the nagadas.

I saw this guy in the last pic, Thomas, and love this close-up of him. I love the crisp, white clothes against the colorful turban. And I really like his moustache! smile
