An artist making images of Hindu Gods at the Mela. The work involves a high amount of precision and concentration. The image of the God is carved into the wooden base and then a chemical compound or metalic color is applied and rubbed off the board - this rubbing ensures that the color sticks into the carved parts of the board and the rest of the color is taken off. The result is images like the one kept in the background.
All shots in this series are low exposure shots owing to the extra light from the Sun and also because I didn't want to miss moments since people don't freeze for your camera :-)
