Flames

I had been trying to capture fire since a while now - never got this close. This shot was taken at Trita's wedding in Bhopal - we were sitting out in the lawn and it started to get chilly as the night passed by. An employee of the banquet hall was kind enough to light a fire for us and then it was cosy. As everyone was busy warming themselves, I moved around the fire trying all possible angles and settings to get the flame shot right. Guess it "clicked" this time ;-)

Thomas, good stuff. I understand now exactly what I was doing wrong with my fire attempt! Fast shutterspeeds ARE the key!
