A Piece of Heritage

I mean both the monument and the bicycle. Thats India gate - the war memorial built for Indian Soldiers who died in the various wars druing the British Raj. The bicycle doesn't look much older to the monument though ;-) Well it has been an inseperable part of our culture for long now - our country has travelled many a distance on these two wheels.

NIICE !! So India..
good to have taken a B&W.. it does not make one loose focus from the captured heritage(s)
Thomas Mathew: Thanx, this is real India smile Ya, the B&W gave it the contemporary feel!!

well captured,
another interesting thing is to click at india gate are those bubble blower sellers,
u know the guys who tell those tiny rings and soap water so kids can blow bubbles, the patterns and lighting against india gates makes it quite interesting
Thomas Mathew: Thanx Shiv. You are right - the bubble blower sellers, the ice-cream vendors with the green lights on their carts all add to the magic at India Gate. I'll go their some time in the evening and see if I can get some nice shots. Thanx again smile
